The Village
Built in 1988 mainly from timber the village is spread over a large area. With so many bars and restaurants the village can look after over 1,500 guests without seeming crowded. However, the village is not flat and getting to and from your accommodation will certainly test your fitness. For the disabled, elderly or those with infants accommodation should be chosen carefully.
There is a bus of sorts which ferries guests about between the hotel and the Theatre area but even it can't make the winding paths joining the villas and bungalows perched between the pines. The resort is also home to a huge number of crickets. We didn't see many but their metronomic call comes as a surprise at first. It doesn't take long before you fail to notice the noise. This is the only real disturbance. There are no noisy roads nearby, you are not on the flight path and the only disco is well away from all accommodation.
