When you get to Paris you'll want to make the most of your time there.

Here's the itinery which we used.

In the morning having bought our Carte Musees (tickets that get you in to a lot of the sights without queuing) we wandered passed the Pompidou Centre and headed for Les Halles.

The Church l'eglise St. Eustach is very impressive, especially the sculpture of a giant head outside - definately a photo opportunity - wander around the underground shopping centre there and then off by metro to Monmartre. By the time we had seen the Sacre Coeur and fought our way through the hoards of artists it was time for lunch.
One of the best views in Paris is from the terrace of the Patachou in the Place de Tertr. It's right next to the Sacre Coeur so we booked lunch over the net.

The Patachou didn't disappoint.

They had even arranged for the sun to come out. Good food and a superb view. Grab a table at the edge of the terrace if it's fine.

Patachou can be contacted and viewed at

This is an excellent trip - Continued
